A Taste of Entertainment from 2008 Looking forward to 2009
10am – 4pm Seymour Railway Station
Musical Experiences from the 2 stages - Platforms 1 and Station entrance
“A list of entertainment not to be missed”
• Local artists – Mitchell Shire Concert Band will play from 10 -11am and other local musicians
Fat Chants (busking throughout the day), Two Shots of Harmony 12noon - 1.30pm and Seymour Performer's Workshop 11.15am - 11.45am & 1.45pm - 2.15, Kool Change 2.30pm - 4pm, on the station platform.
• Rachel McCracken will perform throughout the day at Platform 1
Children’s Activities
Activities for children will include:
• Balloon Artist Balloon Antic Bruce giving away shaped balloons.
• Story Time with Pauline our favourite story time teller
from Seymour Library on the Station Platform
• Face painting
• Mr Rex The Magician performing throughout the day
• Plaster and Paint activities
• Seymour Primary School Viaduct of Art
• Hilders horse drawn wagon rides
• Kerr's Carnival Rides
Heritage Trains
• Heritage train rides and the promotion of Seymour
Railway Heritage Centre will increase the public's awareness
of this significant part of Australian History and show case
our Heritage Rolling Stock (working trains & carriages)
to the region.
• Local shuttle rides from Seymour Railway Station fares from $ 6 per person.
• Hourly from Seymour 10am. Last train 4pm
• Departing Avenel 10.21am
• Returning to Avenel from Seymour 4pm
• Departing Nagambie 11.30am
• Returning to Nagambie from Seymour 3pm
Art Experiences
• Seymour & District Art Society displaying talent on the platform and at the Old Court House Gallery
• Mitchell Photographic Club Inc competition display and awards
• Seymour Primary Schools hosting viaduct of Art display and pavement art
• SpArt (Seymour Public Art) displaying the all abilities playground sculptures at the Seymour Railway Station
