EVENT FAQ

TICKETS &
TASTINGS

  • You can, but we recommend buying ahead in case we sell out—especially if you want a Tasting Ticket, as we have a limited number of glasses each year. Pre-purchasing also helps us deliver the best possible event, so if you can, please buy ahead! Get your ticket here.

  • FREE for under 18s! We also have free kids’ activities and entertainment all day to keep your little adventurers happy and occupied.

  • Yes. Free tastings are only available to those who have purchased a Tasting ticket and can present their tasting glass to vendors.

Pssst… if you’re enjoying free tastings, we encourage you to buy from our wonderfu vendors as well!

  • On the day! We’ll scan your ticket when you enter and give you your glass at the gate.

  • You can show us your ticket on your phone or bring a printout. Both options are a-ok with us.

  • Tastes of the Goulburn isn’t a country market, it’s a festival of food, wine and so much more.

You’ll find live music on the main stage, cooking demonstrations at the Producer’s Kitchen and entertainment right along the street.

You’ll have the opportunity to chat with (and buy from!) the region’s best winemakers, distillers, artists and producers all in one spot (no driving to get around to everyone). And they bring their latest and greatest offerings (post-harvest is a wonderful time to try something new).

Plus, with a Tasting Ticket, you can try more than 100 wines and plenty more beer, gin and cider at no extra cost.

We promise it’s worth the entry price—and we put the proceeds to good use!

Tastes is a not-for-profit event run by volunteers. We’re not in this to make money. We’re in this to build the reputation of the Goulburn Valley, enhance tourism, and support our region’s businesses to thrive.

  • We don’t offer refunds or exchanges for ticket purchases.

Tastes will go ahead, rain, hail or shine.

If the event is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly relocated for any reason, we will offer a refund, partial refund or exchange to the extent required by Australian Consumer Law.

PLANNING
YOUR VISIT

  • There’s plenty of free parking available in the streets adjoining the festival!

  • Your ticket to get in, a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated, a tote bag to fill with goodies (bring your bag from last year if you have it), good vibes and a sense of adventure!

  • We ask that you don’t BYO drinks or food (water excepted). And please don’t BYO chairs or tables (unless medically required), as we set up plenty of seating along the street.

  • Yes, but it’s a pretty busy event with lots of foot traffic so we recommend leaving your furry four-legged friends at home if you can. If you are bringing an animal, please make sure they stay on lead and under tight control.

  • Most vendors will take card payments, but if you need cash there are a couple of ATMs on Station St. You can also withdraw cash at the local Coles and Woolworths.

  • Sure will, St John’s Ambulance will be onsite and ready to help. If you need assistance please ask one of our lovely volunteers who will be roaming the street or pop down to the entry gates.

  • We are a smoke-free event.

AT THE EVENT

  • If you break your glass, please let us know so we can clean up the broken glass.

If we have any extra glasses left you can purchase a replacement for $10 (no guarantees, we may run out!).

  • If you have lost your Tasting glass, you can purchase a new $35 Tasting ticket at the gate to get a replacement if extra glasses are available.

  • No, sorry. All children must be accompanied and actively supervised by an adult at all times.

  • Sure can! You’ll be given a wristband on entry and can show your wristband and ticket at the gate to reenter the event.

  • At the entry gate! You can also email us at info@tastesofthegoulburn.org.au after the event if anything goes missing, and we’ll do our best to help you find it.

  • We are a smoke-free event. Pass-outs are available if you’d like to smoke or vape.
