Secretary role
Our Committee Secretary helps to keep our vibrant committee organised and our project running smoothly. If you're a natural planner and organiser—the kind of person who proactively organises group gifts, wrangles family holiday plans, or manages friend catch-ups—you're the person we're looking for.
We have some systems and processes set up, and a Committee Chair who is keen for more, so new ideas to make our operations more efficient are very welcome.
No previous event experience is required, and you don't need to be an expert at tech, but you do need to be enthusiastic about giving it a crack. You’ll also have plenty of support from committee members with complementary skills.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Manage the committee meeting calendar, prepare agendas, take minutes, and issue related documents.
Monitor the event email inbox, respond to general enquiries, and delegate as needed.
Maintain committee documents and records.
Assist in preparing the post-event report and managing the event project management plan.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Strong organisational skills.
Good communication abilities.
Basic tech skills (email, document management).
Enthusiasm and proactivity.
WHAT YOU’LL GET

TIME COMMITMENT
Ideally, you will be able to make a minimum 12-month commitment to this role.
Hours are very flexible and can vary. We appreciate any help that can be provided, however, our ideal candidate will have the capacity for:
Approx. 4 hours of work per month plus attendance at monthly committee meetings of approx. 2 hours each.
Attendance and assistance on the weekend of Tastes of the Goulburn, both on Friday, 25 April and Saturday, 26 April 2025.
